Like my head would explode.

So there I sat drowning in tears.

Hush now little bird,

Your fire was darkened by this crushing world.

Finally I have found someone worth my time,

Who can heal my heart and make it start a whole new rhythm! 

I want just one person to know the real me.

I’m tired of pretending to be happy,

Fooling myself into believing that I’m content with the life I lead.

I want to rewind and start again.

I want to be able to be angry when I’m angry,

To cry when I feel like it

Instead I get drunk and smile.

Even my real smile is fake.

I lost myself through pretending.

So close but not touching.

If only you knew how much I want you to hold me.

Finally admitting I was in love …. Am in love.

You made me so happy

A smile smacked me in the face every time I thought about you

Which was a lot…. Is a lot.

I couldn’t stop it from going wrong,

It got to that point where I couldn’t see anything working,

How badly I wanted it to work.

Why couldn’t you just be the one I love?
